Good morning CraftyStealers!

Just as we are hitting the peak of summer (and all of the glorious summer temperatures), we are going to cool things down a bit next week on and celebrate CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Hey, if some stores already have their Christmas merchandise out, so can WE! Plus, you can get a head start on cards and gifts for the holiday season (or maybe get around to the stacks of photos from last year’s celebrations?).

I thought I would start getting us in the mood by creating a special Christmas in July challenge for our Third Thursday Challenge.  We’ll have another stash challenge this time .  The challenge?

Make a Christmas card or layout using patterned paper
that is NOT from a Christmas line.

For example, I made this card using paper from Jenni Bowlin (available on CraftySteals as the CS exclusive Jenni Bowlin Crafting Kit #3) as well as pieces from the Jenni Bowlin “Star” kit.

Want to play along and have a chance to win some CraftySteals goodies?  All you have to do is upload a photo of your project using the LinkyTool at the bottom of this post.  You don’t need a blog, just a web-linked photo (if you don’t have one already, it’s easy to sign up for a free account on a place like Photobucket or Flickr).  You can upload your photos from now until midnight CST on Sunday night.  We will randomly choose a winner from the entries – and that winner will receive some happy mail from CraftySteals. :)

It’s a great way to use random papers to make room for some fabulous Christmas bundles we’ll have next week.  Just sayin’. ;)

Have a great weekend, and come back on Sunday – I’m going to share a quick way to make a ton of cards!
